At Oshkosh AeroTech, we’re proud to play a part in the continued growth of aviation infrastructure, operations and services around the world— especially when it supports thriving regional hubs like Appleton International Airport (ATW).
As part of ATW’s ongoing expansion to meet rising passenger demand, Oshkosh AeroTech recently designed and manufactured three new state-of-the-art Jetway® Passenger Boarding Bridges that will serve travelers for years to come. The newly installed passenger boarding bridges and accompanying gate equipment were unveiled for use just before the 2025 National Football League (NFL) 2025 Draft, which is being hosted in Green Bay, Wisconsin, just 34 miles from ATW.
Built for Growth, Designed for the Future
Appleton International Airport has seen strong growth and has even been labeled as one of the fastest-growing airports in Wisconsin. To sustain this momentum, a major expansion was announced in late 2023 and, after a competitive bidding process, Oshkosh AeroTech secured the contract to provide state-of-the-art gate equipment.
Members of Oshkosh AeroTech’s Gate Equipment team worked closely with ATW leaders to deliver a passenger boarding bridge solution tailored to the airport’s operational needs and future ambitions. These new bridges are more than just gateways to the aircraft — they’re high-tech, highly-durable systems built for efficiency, safety and adaptability.
“Our Oshkosh AeroTech team has decades of experience serving airports around the world with airport services, baggage handling solutions, ground support equipment, gate equipment and more,” said Frank Moore, vice president and general manager of Oshkosh AeroTech’s Gate Equipment business. “We are honored to support Appleton International’s new expansion and appreciate their trust in Oshkosh AeroTech.”
Advanced Technology Meets Robust Design
The new bridges are equipped with industry-leading technology engineered by the Oshkosh AeroTech team including:
“Our Jetway Passenger Boarding Bridges at ATW are efficiently designed to manage the demanding Midwest climate with advanced technology to promote operator efficiency and traveler experience,” said Moore.
Oshkosh AeroTech also provides robust gate and ground support equipment (GSE) technology to support airports of all sizes including:
Partners in Progress
Oshkosh AeroTech takes pride in delivering solutions that support airport growth, prioritize passenger flow, and promote an outstanding travel experience. Working with Appleton International Airport was a collaborative effort — and a great example of how strong partnerships lead to lasting impact.
As more passengers take off from ATW, these boarding bridges will quietly do their job — connecting travelers to destinations near and far, and supporting the seamless journey they expect from a modern airport.
